Jacqlynn’s career at MHIRJ began nearly a decade ago. With a background in finance, she was eager to find a role that fit her evolving career interests. "When I started, it was more of an accounting role," she recalls. "But the longer I stayed, the more I got involved in project work and overseeing different functions."

Ulrik: I started as cabin crew and worked my way up to cabin manager. Every step has been shaped by learning, teamwork and growing with the job.

MHIRJ: What do you enjoy most about flying, and serving on the same aircraft for 25 years?

Ulrik: It’s about connection. The CRJ’s size allows you to truly engage with passengers, so you’re not just a face in the aisle. You get to create a personal experience every time.

MHIRJ: What are some unique features of a CRJ that you appreciate?

Ulrik: Its size, absolutely. Not just because it’s manageable, but because it allows you to stay close to what matters most, the guests.

MHIRJ: What challenges have you faced over the last 25 years in the industry?

Ulrik: Flying during COVID was unlike anything we’d ever experienced. Masks, restrictions, uncertainty. And then came the full shutdown, it tested everyone. But we adapted, and we made it through.

MHIRJ: What safety measures do you prioritize while flying?

Ulrik: Safety always comes first. We follow every checklist, no shortcuts. And on a personal note, I always wear discreet hearing protection. It makes a difference long term.

MHIRJ: Has your perspective on flying changed over the years? How?

Ulrik: Yes. I’ve gone from working in scheduled flights to now doing ad hoc charters. It’s a different rhythm more dynamic, more varied.

MHIRJ: Why did you decide to start in Global Reach Aviation?

Jacob: The CRJ is incredibly versatile. I’ve done airline flights, VIP charters, and even cargo missions with it. I’ve had so many unique experiences without ever changing the frame. The CRJ feels like home to me. Even when I look at other aircraft, I don’t feel the urge to switch. The cockpit design still feels intuitive and modern, even though it was developed back in 1991.
