NANCY CLOUTIER: CREATING MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS

A lifelong curiosity for airplanes, sparked by her father, led Nancy Cloutier to a career where connection is at the center of everything that she does. As Senior Customer Experience and Events Specialist at MHIRJ, she creates experiences that bring people together and leave lasting impressions on both employees and customers. Nancy shares how passion, confidence, and courage can help shape meaningful careers for more women.
MHIRJ: What inspired you to pursue a career in aviation?
Nancy: My father passed on his love for airplanes to me. He’s always gazing at the sky, searching for planes. He likes to identify them, imagine himself flying them, and share stories about what he observes. His passion sparked my curiosity. I thought to myself, I could probably do something interesting in this field with my background in communications. It’s magical to be surrounded by such aircraft. And as a bonus, my father now has someone to share his passion with, and I made him proud!
MHIRJ: What aspect of your role at MHIRJ are you most proud of, and why does it matter to you?
Nancy: In my role, I get to design moments for our customers and employees, and I love that it lets me meet people from many different countries. I really enjoy taking care of others and seeing them have a good time.
What I love most is seeing our employees happy, feeling appreciated, and genuinely enjoying themselves - It’s the best feeling knowing I helped make that happen. Those moments make all the planning worth it and remind me how much I truly love my job.
I'm proud to work for MHIRJ and to help shape how our company is perceived.
MHIRJ: In what ways would you hope to inspire future generations of women at MHIRJ and beyond?
Nancy: I hope to inspire the next generations of women by demonstrating that success in the field of aviation is not limited to a specific path. What matters is determination, passion, curiosity, and a desire to learn. I want them to realize that their strengths and unique journeys bring great value.
MHIRJ: What advice would you give to women considering a career in the aviation industry?
I recommend that they begin with confidence and courage. They should feel free to share their ideas, show their interest and passion. It's crucial that they surround themselves with supportive, optimistic people who believe in their potential.
